On November 3, 2026, Montana voters will find statewide ballot issues as well as races and questions that may depend on where they live. The best starting point is the official sample ballot for the voter’s precinct.

What is statewide

CI-132, CI-133 and I-194 are the qualified statewide initiatives. The Montana Secretary of State publishes the measure text and arguments for and against in its voter information pamphlet.

What may vary

Legislative districts, county races and local questions can differ among communities and precincts. A measure authorized to collect signatures should not be described as being on the ballot unless officially qualified.

What to do

Verify registration and sample-ballot details with Montana’s voter portal and county election administrators. Compare each measure’s wording with existing law before making a choice. Truth in Focus offers this explanation for public education, without an endorsement.
