COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT | EASTERN MONTANA
By Steven Bullcoming Haworth | Truth in Focus

ASHLAND, Mont. — A community website program previously announced through Truth in Focus may expand to include qualifying locally owned small businesses that have little or no online presence.

The initiative was originally developed to help grassroots, cultural, educational and community-serving projects obtain basic website design. Bullcoming Enterprises, with technical services through Zion Tech Services, is proposing that local for-profit businesses also be eligible when they demonstrate how their work benefits the communities they serve.

This would be an expansion of the previously announced Community Website Award, not a replacement for that published announcement.

What a basic award could include

Under the proposed expanded guidelines, a selected applicant could receive a three-page website with a homepage, an About page and a Contact page. Applicants who already own a domain could use it if technically appropriate; others could consider a subdomain, or obtain a domain separately.

Complimentary work would cover a defined basic website build. Domain registration, paid hosting, premium services, long-term maintenance and more complex functions—including online stores—would not automatically be included. Requests for additional pages or features could be handled by separate written estimates.

Applicants would explain their plans

This would not be a random prize drawing. The application would ask each business or organization to explain what it does, whom it serves, why a website would help, what it hopes to accomplish and who will maintain the information after launch.

Applicants would also be invited to describe how they support their local communities—through jobs, volunteer work, youth programs, donations, services, or other meaningful contributions. The objective would not be to impose a single definition of community service but to understand how website assistance could benefit local residents as well as the selected applicant.

Keeping services separate from journalism

Bullcoming Enterprises and Zion Tech Services would provide any development work. Truth in Focus may publish announcements about the initiative, but business participation, advertising purchases and commercial relationships would not entitle an applicant to favorable editorial coverage. Editorial decisions remain independent.

The revised eligibility rules, selection criteria, number of available awards, application method and opening and closing dates have not yet been finalized. Applicants should wait for an official announcement before submitting personal or financial information. No purchase is necessary to be considered under the proposed free-work program.

Truth in Focus will publish verified updates when the sponsoring businesses finalize the program and begin accepting proposals.

Disclosure: Truth in Focus is a Bullcoming Enterprises publication. This is an announcement about an affiliated community initiative, not independent coverage of a separate company. The program expansion described here is proposed, not yet open for applications.
