Truth in Focus Launches Independent Eastern Montana News and Public Records Platform
ASHLAND, Montana — October 2026 — Truth in Focus, an independent news, research and public-accountability project serving Eastern Montana and surrounding communities, is now live at TruthInFocus.net.
Truth in Focus was created to make public information easier for ordinary people to find, understand and verify. Coverage will include local and tribal government, education, public policy, courts, public records, community issues and other matters affecting Eastern Montana, with particular attention to communities that often receive limited sustained news coverage.
A major part of the project is the developing Truth in Focus Records Room, which will organize public records, government documents, court materials, meeting records and other primary-source information so readers can examine the underlying documents rather than relying solely on social-media claims or secondhand interpretations.

Truth in Focus will also report positive community developments alongside investigations and accountability reporting. Recent work includes preserving Northern Cheyenne Tribal Council proceedings for broader public access and developing a public-records repository designed to help readers compare claims with original source material.
